Boxing fans are in for yet another massive treat as internet sensation ‘The Wealdstone Raider’ will be fighting inside the squared circle later this year.
While many fans and pundits alike consider the Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder II as the biggest fight of 2020, the charity match featuring the famed YouTube star against Dean Hoggard will give the heavyweight rematch a run for its money for the ‘Fight of the Year’ recognition.
Wealdstone Raider, known as Gordon Hill in real life, announced the upcoming exhibition fight on his official Facebook account.
“Fight confirmed,” Hill wrote.
“Forget about tyson fury v wilder, forget about bum Anthony Joshua fights next, the biggest fight this year has been confirmed, me against Dean Hoggard in Leeds on the 30th October, tickets on sale soon, dean hoggard thinks he can deal with the raider.”
The boxing fight will benefit the Life For A Kid Foundation, which was founded by Hoggard in 2009 with the aim to support children under 16 years old.
Bigger Fight
Hoggard has revealed the boxing fight will happen at Direct Arena in front of 5000 fans.
Amid the hype, Hoggard said the charity fight was ‘nothing’ compared to the fund raiser for Rob Burrow and Mose Masoe.
“Every time Gordon comes to Hull to visit Life For A kid he calls out ‘Ronnie Pickering’ but so far no cigar not even for charity,” he said (per Sportbible).
“On Friday 30 October 2020 the Rugby League All Stars are organising a Rugby League Rumble to raise money for Rob Burrow and Mose Masoe at the first Direct Arena in Leeds.”
“Both these Rugby league stars have a huge fight on there hands Rob Burrow with MND and Mose Masoe with a life changing spinal injury.
“So having a Dance with ‘The Wealdstone Raider’ may seem like a huge fight for most with his reputation but it’s nothing compared to the fight in store for these two legends.”
Viral
Raider rose to fame in 2013 because of a viral video of him heckling rival supporters at a football match while holding a cigarette and a pint of beer.
“You’ve got no fans!” he yelled.
“You want some? You’re playing s*** and you’ve got no fans. If ya want some, I’ll give it you.”
