Ryan Hall has called out UFC veterans Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar after claiming he’s struggling to find worthy opponents.
The Ultimate Fighter winner is currently undefeated in the UFC with a record of 4-0.
His last fight was in July 2019 when he defeated Darren Elkins to extend his record to four consecutive wins in the UFC.
Struggling For Opponents
And the submission expert claims he’s now struggling to find worthy and willing opponents.
Taking to social media, Hall claimed that several highly ranked opponents reject his approaches for a fight.
‘The Wizard’ has decided to switch methods and has instead publicly called out the two legends.
In a post to Instagram, Hall featured two fight posters for bouts with Aldo and Edgar and expressed his hopes that one of them will take him up on the offer.
He wrote: “Never thought I’d have to go this route, but then again, I also never imagined a laundry list of ranked professional tough guys turning down a fight with a skinny, blinky kid from the suburbs,”
“Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo are two people for whom courage won’t ever be an issue and it’s for that reason I have looked up to both since I first saw them compete years ago.”
“Maybe one of them would be willing to step in to show everybody else how it’s done? Pick the time and place, boys. I’ll be there.”
A Rough Patch
Aldo has been experiencing a rough patch in his career since his emphatic defeat to Conor McGregor back in 2015.
The shock result saw ‘Notorious’ down Aldo in just thirteen seconds to take the UFC Featherweight Championship.
Since then, Aldo has won just three from seven fights, and would go into the bout off the back of consecutive losses against Alexander Volkanovski and Marlon Moraes.
The Brazilian however continues to claim that he won his bantamweight debut against Moraes in December and is calling for a title fight against champion Henry Cejudo.
Awaiting a Response
Meanwhile, Edgar has experienced a similar problem having also lost four of his last seven fights, including a decision defeat to Aldo back in 2016.
The 38-year-old is currently recovering from his first-round TKO defeat to ‘The Korean Zombie’ on December 21, which is also his second loss in a row.
Edgar recently announced plans to follow in Aldo’s footsteps and make the cut to bantamweight.
Hall will be impatiently waiting in the wings for a response from either of the UFC veterans.
But with Aldo keen on a shot at the bantamweight title, he may be relying on a response from Edgar to get his fight.
