Mixed martial arts fans are roasting ESPN commentator, Stephen A. Smith, as footage of him hitting the pads in a workout made rounds on social media.
Smith was in hot water last weekend after he made comments on Donald Cerrone’s performance against Conor McGregor at UFC 246.
The MMA veteran was finished just 40 seconds into the first round after ‘The Notorious’ launched a barrage of shoulder strikes and a head kick before taking him out with a ground-and-pound.
“I’m quite disgusted. Let me be very, very clear: I’m honored to be up here with you guys,” Smith said, (via BJPenn.com)
“I’m a spectator watching the sport. I expected to see more than 40 seconds.”
“I predicted McGregor was going to win this fight inside of two rounds. I thought he would take him out.”
Here’s the deal: 15 seconds in, ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone was done.”
“He got hit with those shoulders in the clinch, and he was done. It looked like he gave up. It was just an atrocious performance on his part.”
Now, fans are exacting revenge on the sports commentator for Cowboy as they criticized him over his pad work video.
