Dana White Offers Job To Heroic Shop Worker Who Got Fired For Stopping Robbery

UFC president Dana White has offered employment to a Best Buy worker who was fired for stopping a robbery at a store in Aeia, Hawaii.

Summer Tapasa-Sataraka went viral after a video emerged of her stopping a robbery at the Hawaii store she was working in.

In the CCTV footage, a man is shown trying to swiftly leave the store carrying goods before being body checked by Tapasa-Sataraka, who sends him through the advertising board by the door.

The 24-year-old was reportedly fired as a result of her heroic behaviour, and Dana White has in turn offered her a new line of employment at the UFC.

White posted the footage to Instagram, announcing Tapasa-Sataraka will be flying out to UFC 246 and hinting at a future job for the former shop worker.

He wrote: “She stopped this punk from getting away with stealing from BestBuy in Hawaii,”

“She got fired for this. Flying her in this weekend and giving her tickets to the McGregor vs Cowboy fight. I WANT HER TO WORK FOR ME! Get ready for the best weekend of your life Summer.”

White has since confirmed he is ‘dead serious’ about the job offer, and intends to fly the young woman to Las Vegas as a VIP guest.

Conor ‘Notorious’ McGregor will face Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in his much anticipated return the Octagon on January 18.

An exciting new McGregor promo was recently released, and the fight is sure to be an amazing spectacle.

 Rock Star

Tapasa-Sakarata will be ringside for the event after being contacted personally by Dana White, who says she’s exactly the kind of person he wants to employ.

White told TMZ: “That’s the kind of person I want working for me,”

“You’re crazy Best Buy! You shoulda kept her! I’m gonna steal her from you now!”

“We’ve talked to her on the phone. She’s got an incredible personality. She’s my kind of girl!”

“I’m gonna rock star the sh*t out of her and then we’ll see what happens!”

While it looks as though the young worker will be rewarded for her bravery, it’s yet unclear what the line of employment could be.

Nonetheless, White and the UFC have put across a positive message with the gesture.
