Former Ultimate Fighting Championship star Ross Pearson received a rude welcome on his mixed martial arts return last weekend.
The UFC veteran, who won The Ultimate Fighter 9, made a comeback at the MTK MMA: Probellum in London on Saturday, following a successful boxing debut last May.
Standing on his way was Davy Gallon, who was dubbed as the underdog with a 17-7-2 MMA record.
The welterweight pair starred in the headlining bout of the London show and MMA fans got to witness a near-perfect rolling thunder kick finish.
Late in the third round, the Frenchman landed the brutal blow , leaving the former UFC star knocked out cold in the canvass.
“Oh my goodness me. I don’t even know what to call that. I have never seen a finish like that,” the commentator said of the stunning finish.
Gallon’s rolling thunder kick knockout has since gone viral and is being considered as a strong candidate for the Knockout of the Year recognition.

Of course, Gallon’s ridiculous rolling thunder kick knockout was the subject of online discussion as MMA fans sang praises for the 30-year old fighter.
“As a fan of Ross Pearson from the TUF days, that KO was hard to watch. But take a bow Davy Gallon.”
“That’s the KO of the year for sure. Don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone pull off a rolling thunder kick before and KO someone with it,” wrote the sports journalist, Chisanga Malata.
James Edwards tweeted, “Christ on a bike what a KO… this is literally in the final minute of the final round! Flying Rolling Thunder KO.”
“Oh shiiiiit…I did not forsee Ross Pearson being on the end of a vicious rolling thunder KO tonight!!” Michael Morgan added.
Gallon secured his 18th professional victory while Pearson suffered his third straight loss since February 2018.
