Donald Cerrone went through a lot of adversities heading into the biggest fight of his mixed martial arts career.
The MMA veteran will headline tonight’s UFC 246 pay-per-view event against the promotion’s biggest draw in Conor McGregor.
Both fighters will be returning to 170 pounds after spending some time at the lightweight division, with both of them also earning a massive loss in their last outing.
Going into the first PPV festivities of the year, ‘Cowboy’ holds the record for the most wins in the UFC history.
He is also the fighter with the most finishes, most knockdowns, and most post-fight bonuses.
But earning these feats comes with a huge price.
In an amazing infographic, ESPN breaks down the injuries Cerrone had sustained in the fifteen years of his MMA career and it shows he has danced with the devil in many occassions.

Brutal Pain
Way back 2004, Cerrone needed to be revived three times and was in a coma for two weeks after a motocross accident, where his stomach was also cut open.
“I was racing some motocross and I wrecked real bad and just kind of spilled my guts out. They had to take a bunch of my intestines and part of my stomach,” he revealed, (via MailOnline).
Eight years after, the crash continued to take a toll on his body as he experienced a brutal pain ahead of his fight with Jeremy Stephens.
“What happened this time is, my stomach basically rolled around the intestine. Man, talk about pain. It was like someone was stabbing me. Oh, it was so brutal.
“I had to go to the ER, and basically they had to empty all of my intestines out and then rush water down my stomach and try to get it to unspin, kind of like a garden hose.”
Not Injured
But for his UFC 246 fight against McGregor, Cerrone stressed he is 100% healthy as he aims to give the Irishman a rude welcome on his MMA return.
‘Cowbot’ shot down rumors that he is injured and said he looks forward to blowing the roof in Las Vegas.
“I knew that was going to come up. People are good. Put a little limp, what if I was walking with a drawl? Or maybe I stepped on a Lego? I got a kid now.”
“No, I’m good. No, I’m fine. I just kicked a pad funny, it was just a funny nothing, you know.”
