Another boxing superstar is being linked to a potential crossover fight with Ultimate Fighting Championship biggest draw, Conor Mcregor.
In 2017, the UFC star tussled with Floyd Mayweather Jr in the most lucrative fight in combat sports history, with McGregor suffering a tenth-round technical knockout loss.
Since that crossover showdown, a lot of mixed martial artists have called out boxing champions such as Floyd and Canelo Alvarez in an attempt to land a massive fight purse.
McGregor just recently returned to professional fighting after more than a year of hiatus.
Last Saturday night, he wowed the Las Vegas crowd with an incredible 40-second demolition of Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246.
It was the Irishman’s most impressive Octagon performance in the recent years and the second fastest win in his UFC career.
After the win, talks about McGregor doing another crossover fight surfaced, with Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao being discussed as potential opponents.

Pursuing
But according to Top Rank’s Bob Arum, he will be working with UFC president Dana White to set up two fights featuring the Irish star and Terence Crawford.
These crossover fights will be under boxing and MMA rules.
“Well, you know, you see Conor McGregor talking out Mayweather and talking out Pacquiao,” Arum told Michael Woods on Talkbox podcast.
“I would love to have Crawford fight McGregor, once (under) MMA rules and once (under) boxing rules.”
“I think Crawford, you know, has a background in wrestling and would not be too averse to fighting McGregor with UFC rules.”
“So that’s something that’s current to us in the last couple of days and we’ll be pursuing it with Dana White.”
Multi-weight Champ
The 32-year old Crawford currently holds world titles across three different weight classes and is listed as one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.
The Omaha, Nebraska native has remained undefeated in 36 professional bouts, with his most recent fight against Egidijus Kavaliauskas ending by way of technical knockout.
Crawford, who is also known as ‘Bud,’ also holds notable wins against Amir Khan, Jeff Horn, Jose Benavidez Jr,and many others.
McGregor, meanwhile, is a former two-division champion in the UFC, having won the featherweight and lightweight titles.
He is known as one of the best strikers in the competition and is the only fighter in the history to score a knockout win in the featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight divisions.
