CM Punk expects ‘pure chaos’ after Ronda Rousey said she enjoyed doing ‘fake fights’ at the World Wrestling Organization.
The one-time WWE Raw Women’s champion was under fire earlier this week after labeling her job as ‘fake fights for fun’ and saying she left the wrestling promotion because of ‘ungrateful fans.’
“I love the WWE. I had such a great time. I love all the girls in the locker room. Running out there and having fake fights for fun is just the best thing,” she said at Steve-O’s Wild Ride podcast.
“I love choreography. I love acting. I love theater. Live theater and some of the last forms of live theater.”
“But, I was doing basically part-time and I was away from home 200 days out of the year. And when I did get home, I was so sleep deprived cause you just don’t have time to lay down.”

Rousey Defended Herself
Rousey drew flak on social media, following her controversial comments, and she quickly defended herself from criticisms saying, “Anyone who is outraged by me calling pro wrestling ‘fake fights for fun’ has never been in a REAL fight.”
She added: “While you all are tip toeing around bruising some pro wrestlers’ huge soft egos – no one is thinking about all of the REAL fighters you’re insulting when pretending pro wrestling is somehow on the same level of realism.”
“Yes, I understand, wrestling 300 days a year for years on end is incredibly tough on the bodu and a difficult profession – but do you know what would happen if you got in 300 REAL fights in a year? You would be dead.”

Fun To Watch
CM Punk, who also has an experience both in professional MMA and pro-wrestling, said Rousey has done a splendid job in making everyone mad and he sees the ongoing feud between fans and the ‘baddest woman on the planet’ reaching a different level.
“She [Rousey]’s doing her job. I love this,” the former WWE champion said at the WWE Backstage.
“This is pure chaos and I don’t see this ending well, whether it’s real or scripted, but it’s going to be fun to watch. It’s fantastic to watch everyone bite on it and get butthurt.”
“Everyone says ‘Ronda is soft’ because she got knocked out twice. ‘She’s not a real fighter. She’s not a real wrestler.’ She’s got them wrapped around her finger.”
“Wrestling is best when you blur the lines. ‘These two really don’t like each other. She just punched her in the face.”
“Where I think she’s going to get in trouble is when she says ‘I’m real, everything else is phony,’ you’re not on thin ice anymore, you’ve fallen through the ice and you’re in the water. It’s going to be interesting to see how they tiptoe around that.”
