The daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar, is starting to make a name for herself in the sport scene.
Mya Lesnar has been recently recognized as a Minnesota state champion and the sixth best shot-putter in the United States.
According to the Sun Devil official Twitter account, the young athlete is set to join Arizona State University’s track and field team for her college stint.
The 17-year old shot-putter is already making heads turned at her young age, just like her father did in his early years.
Regarded as one of the most versatile athletes, Brock has had a successful wrestling career in college before getting signed by the World Wrestling Entertainment in 2000.
The 6-foot-3 giant became a household name in professional wrestling as he scored huge wins against various Hall of Famers such as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
PPV Behemoth
Four years after, he left he wrestling promotion and decided to pursue a career in professional football.
He played for the Minnesota Vikings in 2004, appearing in various pre-season matches.
Then in 2008, he signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and became one of its biggest draws.
Five out of his eight UFC fights recorded more than one million pay-per-view buys. The highest was his rematch with Frank Mir, which topped 1 300 000.
Lesnar won the heavyweight championship at UFC 91, beating Randy Couture by way of technical knockout before defending it twice against Mir and Shane Carwin respectively.
In 2010, his reign at 265 pounds came to an end after Cain Velasquez dethroned him at UFC 121.
He was last seen in the cage fighting Mark Hunt, where his victory was overturned to a no-contest after he tested positive to a banned substance.
After hanging up his four ounce gloves, the PPV behemoth rejoined WWE and is currently on his fifth reign as the promotion’s champion.
Lesnar is the only person to hold a title both in the UFC and WWE.
Not Returning
Last year, talks about his potential UFC return surfaced after he appeared at UFC 226 and had a confrontation with Daniel Cormier.
A superfight between the heavyweight stars was being targeted for summer but Lesnar told White he is done with fighting.
“He told me he’s done. He’s retired,” said the UFC president.
“I wasn’t pissed at all,” he said of Lesnar’s retirement.
“Brock had a good run here. It’s been fun.”
“Listen to fight in this business you have to be 100 percent invested. You’ve got to be in. It’s not where his head was. He made the right decision.”
