Anthony Joshua has made an irresistible offer to Tyson Fury as the ‘Gypsy King’ prepares to fight Deontay Wilder for the WBC title.
Fury is set to take on Wilder in February 2020 with the WBC heavyweight title on the line. The pair went the distance in December last year in a dramatic draw.
But Anthony Joshua has offered his aid to the Gypsy King as he prepares for the rematch which could make him a heavyweight champion again.
AJ recently reclaimed his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles from Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia, and has since demanded a shot at the WBC title once Fury and Wilder have finished in the ring.
Sparring Partner
The British superstar has now offered his services to Fury as he thinks it’ll speed up his chances of becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion.
Speaking to Sky Sports about the upcoming Wilder vs Fury rematch, AJ said: “Honestly, I think Fury might beat Deontay Wilder next time they’re out. That’s just my opinion,”
“I think Tyson Fury would fight me quicker than Wilder would.”
“If that’s the case, I want Fury to win, because I just want to fight.”
“To have that fight here on British soil? Man, can you imagine that?”
“Fury, if you need me for sparring, we’re going to fight one day. I’ve sparred Tyson Fury when we were kids anyway.”
“I would go out to America and spar Tyson Fury and get him ready for this Wilder fight.”
“I would like that fight, because I think Fury would fight me faster than Wilder would.”
“To have that fight here on British soil? Man, can you imagine that?!”

Joshua also took the opportunity to again allude to the elusiveness of the ‘Bronze Bomber’ when it comes to a showdown between the two.
He said: “It still puzzles me as to why it’s so difficult to pin this man down,”
“This is the man that I need to pin down to get the last ring, so I can conquer this division, as I’ve set out to do from day one.”
“When he’s ready as I am, I would love to be facing off here. Facing off with Deontay Wilder, talking about the keys to victory.”
“It’s not even about me now, it’s gone past that. It’s about the sport and our legacy, and I’ve always said, if he wants to create his legacy and be a future Hall-Of-Famer, he should come see us.”

If Wilder is to beat Fury in February, then surely a long-awaited blockbuster between AJ and the Bronze Bomber is unavoidable.
But regardless of who Joshua faces for the WBC title, boxing fans are eagerly anticipating the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis achieved the feat in 1999.
